Purchasing Assistant – IT Department

POSITION

A Procurement Assistant will assist the procurement manager to ensure that our business has a constant supply of materials or equipment. Work will be primarily in an administrative capacity, doing tasks such as scheduling material purchases and deliveries and verifying current inventory. Managing Vendor contacts and contracts. This is an entry-level position with room for growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES
IT Procurement Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain purchasing request sheet
  • Go through tickets and add all assets to purchasing request sheet
  • Follow up on orders status/ tracking number
  • Label and update incoming assets into connect wise
  • Support multiple locations

Billing:

  • Receive and tag all incoming invoices
  • Review all accounts and pull invoices for payments
  • Submit invoices for approval
  • Review Internal systems to payment status

Assets

  • Enter information from purchasing list into Internal for assets deployed to users
  • Assist with setting up small items to deploy to users
  • Assist with shipping out items to end users
  • Assist with updating License renewal and audits
  • Asset inventory

Vendors:

  • Keep vendor list updated
  • Organize and file vendor contracts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of procurement processes, policies and procedures
  • Familiar with Technology products and software
  • Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • General mathematical knowledge
  • High School Diploma
  • Min 2-3 years’ experience

EDUCATION

  • Minimum of a High School diploma; preferred Associate’s degree and previous experience in a similar setting (preferred, but is not required).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
