Our client is a long-standing major designer, manufacturer, and distributor for aerospace sensors and antennas. We are searching for a professional and smart Production Buyer to join our client’s main operation in the city of Chatsworth, CA.
As the production buyer, you will be responsible for selecting and negotiating with vendors and placing purchases or requisitions in response to product requirements for each department of the company.
Additionally, you will:
- Follow a Master Production Schedule to determine the quantity and order dates for materials needed
- Developing and managing material and/or production goals and sharing them with the team.
- Planning, developing, and administering policies, procedures, and work instructions on purchases.
- Follow- Up and expedite departments and suppliers as required to make sure all items come in on time
- Conducting audits of the inventory system and making recommendations for improvements.
This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position. Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Job Requirements:
This is what we are going to be looking for in your candidacy:
- You have at least 3-5 years of experience as a buyer or production planner, preferably in the aerospace industry or any other manufacturing-related field.
- You have good judgment ingenuity and personal as well as professional integrity
- Experience with machine parts is a plus
- You have strong computer skills. You know how to utilize MRP systems as well as MS Office like Word and Excel.
