POSITION SUMMARYThe Project Engineer is the overall technical lead on a project, leading a team of engineers including electrical/mechanical, software/systems, cyber, and logistics.
Coordination with the functional group leaders to use the right resources to keep the team on track to meet delivery schedules.
Good verbal/written communication skills needed to effectively drive the team and interface with the customer on technical issues.
Travel required to support on-site integration, testing, and acceptance will include extended periods at customer locations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProposal technical responsibility from conceptual design to final deliveryOverall program technical design responsibilityDefinition, technical management, coordination, and integration of all program effortsEnsure technical design meets fidelity of specification requirements and customer needsConducts design reviewsPrimary customer technical interfaceControl of program hardware and software release processesProvides engineering support during the manufacturing phase of a programOverall hardware-software integration responsibilityProgram’s primary representative during in-plant and on-site customer acceptance, some extended periods of travel requiredSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITESCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASI’s policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:MID
