Growing Structural Engineering firm looking for an innovative, respectful, honesty, and accountable Structural Engineer to fill a permanent opening.
This position supports a team of Structural Engineers servicing Florida.
The project engineer will perform structural analysis and design, computer modeling and calculations, client interaction, and develop drawing files for buildings and other structures.
Responsibilities and Duties Lead structural design projects Train, coach or mentor members of the project team Coordinate and communicate with Architects/Designers, Truss Manufacturers, MEP Trades, General Contractors and Field Project Managers Perform structural analysis of wood frame and masonry building components including foundations, wall and roof structures, evaluating loading cases Support in the development of construction drawings and specifications Attend meetings with coordinating parties to resolve structural complexities Manage project schedules Qualifications and Skills 4 -8 years’ experience related to structural/residential engineering work Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain within 6 months preferred Motivated to develop engineering leaders and evolve the engineering profession Knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, ASC, AISC and ACI Ability to communicate with all levels of professionals Committed to providing exceptional client service and technical excellence Experience with multiple design softwares Strong verbal, written and communication skills Looking for long-term growth
