This role will work closely with Design, Product Development and Merchandising lead to achieve margin goals while maintaining the integrity of the product and meeting quality expectations. The Production Coordinator, Men’s drives the product through all stages of production.LocationLos Angeles, CAOrganizational StructureThe Production Coordinator reports to the Director of Men’s Production.Responsibilities* Communicate directly with factories and vendors to resolve production issues* Partner with Design/PD and Merchandising to achieve target cost margin through raw material selection and allocation* Assist Director of Production on daily projects related to production matters* Prepare seasonal T&A for merchandising based on fabric qualities/allocation* Coordinate with Product Development, Design and Tech to review production standards* Send vendor buy charts including style, description, content, target price, and target delivery* Coordinate with Logistics to verify duty and freight rates for each style* Request bulk cost from vendor once cost and delivery is confirmed* Review bulk and trim submissions and approve based on due dates in WIP* Request fabric and garment test reports from testing facilities* Review and approve care label artwork layout* Track weekly WIP’s from all vendors to ensure they are on time with schedule* Review shipping documents for delivery and units to make sure they are shipped within the 5% tolerance* Coordinate with Quality Control regarding any issues with stock garments received* Alert vendors of any problem with bulk shipment received in COI* Track top of production samples, ensure that they are received in a timely manner and meet expectations.* Negotiate with vendors to ensure delivery meets company requirements and is within our delivery time frame* Monitor factory ship dates and PO close dates* Receive packing slips, update WIP report, and track open balances* Ad-hoc projects as assignedQualifications/Experience:* Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in product development or production experience in Apparel industry* Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience* Must have experience working with factories directly* Must be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently* Must have strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload in order to meet all objectives* Must have proven interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a cross-functional team, and be able to influence and interact at all levels of the organization* Must have demonstrated success in both written and verbal communication* Must have excellent communication, analytical, decision-making, trouble-shooting, negotiation and interpersonal skills* Must be proficient in MS Office ApplicationsCompensationThe successful candidate will enjoy a competitive compensation package which may include short and/or long term incentives, clothing allowance, and merchandise discount, in addition to base salary and full health and welfare benefits.Vince, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any applicant or employee because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, genetic information, age, or military or veteran status or any other status protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
