Production Coordinator

Responsibilities

“Gatekeeper” duties for our DIGITAL DAILIES system includes the following:
Set up each new project and provide DIGITAL DAILIES with a list of Studio, Network, Post and Production names and emails address in order to create new user accounts.

Maintain master grid for each project throughout the season.

Collect distribution lists from all groups in order to set up the various accesses that are available within DIGITAL DAILIES.

Monitor activity on projects and disable previous season’s project and remove from the Universal mirror.

Work with IT to install DIGITAL DAILIES application on desktops for all @nbcuni.com users.

Must approve any additions (new accounts), removal (disable accounts), changes in permission, granting new permission, creating new distribution groups within the DIGITAL DAILIES address book for projects.

Meet with Post on shows and give tutorials and explain how DIGITAL DAILIES functions and the folders that are set up on each project.

Monitor the two “Executive Screener” projects to ensure that the final episodes are being uploaded upon delivery for each of the series.

For pilots that have been ordered to series but not yet staffed, set up users and send out links to potential producers, writers, directors, designers, and editor to view prior to a meeting.

For pilots that have not been ordered to series, and at the request of the creative executive, set up users and send links as directed.

These requests are time sensitive or last minute and can require after work hours and weekend attention.

Provide billing information to both the productions and the vendor at the start-up of each season and to monitor throughout the season.

Additional responsibilities: Work with Post Teams to accurately report Clip Usage relating to Recaps, Flashbacks, and material licensed outside of Series.

Understanding of excerpt fees as they relate to SAG/DGA/WGA.

Guide Post Teams during wrap.

Ensure archival procedures are followed per Post Manual.

Understanding of LTO, “near-line” storage, Scenechronize and Daisy.

Set up new users to access the Post Manual in Scenechronize.

Update Post Manual and documents when needed.

Maintain Library, where hard drives and other critical elements are held for active projects.

Receive Studio and Network distribution lists for Dailies and Cuts for each of the series and communicate them to post staff on the shows.

Maintain and update the post staff throughout the season with changes.

Coordinate Anti-Piracy and Wrap meetings with post teams.

Track cuts and ensure finals are fingerprinted by Content Security.

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

•1+ year of experience in television production environment

• 1 +year of work experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

• Flexibility with respect to work hours

• Must have ability to work overtime, when necessary
