What you’ll be doing:

The Product Owners plays a key integrator role between our business stakeholders and our technical teams to translate business needs into requirements, and user stories to build and enhance our technology products in an iterative way.

The Product Owner will work to continuously deliver value to our internal and external customers.
Identify and clarify business needs communicated by stakeholders, by understanding their proposed ideas or challenges through regular sync ups and communication with sponsors, business leads, and key users Gather functional and non-functional requirements on how business needs might be solutioned, and providing design specifications and user stories for internal developers and external vendors to build / enhance applications Prioritize and break down features vs.

bug fixes in coordination with the Software Development Lead and developers, to support backlog management and release planning Proactively identify how to improve the usability and performance of applications and provide input into the product roadmap Review test cases and outcomes of UAT to adjust or clarify requirements with internal teams and business stakeholders Provide demos, create user documentation and support training activities during the initial roll out of new features or applications
What we’re looking for:
Excellent communication skills and relationship building skills in a highly collaborative environment – with sponsors, developers, UX designers, QA, users, etc.

– and understands their roles A curiosity to dig deeper, to uncover information that leads to a better understanding of problems and opportunities Problem solving skills, to solve puzzles in the form of business problems by generating many creative options Ability to synthesize complex information and break down big concepts into smaller pieces Ability to make prioritization calls to get the most critical things done and put aside non-important or low value items Focus on creating a positive experience for internal business partners, and what would make their lives easier A passion for building technology products, with an interest in the trends that continue to shape technology and the industry
The ideal candidate will have:
University or College degree with a technical major, such as computer science or engineering 3+ years of experience in gathering functional and non-functional requirements for business / enterprise workflows 3+ years of work experience in a software, applications, or ERP team, working with developers, designers, QA, & stakeholders Ability to lead meetings with stakeholders of all levels and collaborate effectively within teams Experience writing technical documents e.g.

design specifications, user stories, and user documentation Some understanding of data principles such as master data and data quality Experience working in Agile and Continuous Integration software development environments preferred Some experience preferred with Jira and Confluence, and testing tools such as Panaya
