Based in South Pasadena, WAYB is looking to add a new member to our growing family What You’ll Do Working directly with the Innovation Discovery Developer the Innovation Discovery Intern will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting all aspects of the product development process including, but not limited to:
– Create documentation for proper testing and record keeping to ensure products meet agreed upon internal performance standards – fit & wear, consumer use, material durability, sustainability initiatives, etc.
– Manage necessary testing databases and records to validate all products meet necessary regulatory standards on regular basis – toxicity, product performance, consumer misuse, etc.
– Identify, follow up, and manage opportunities to ensure products in development meet most up-to-date innovations in environmentally-friendly processes and materials
– Contribute to product sample design and development process, providing feedback into sample reviews to ensure products meet provided product briefs & goals
– Coordinate completion and delivery of development samples between members of external suppliers and internal team members
– Review product costing and BOM files to help keep company on track with previously set margin requirements for specific product’s launch strategy
– Work closely with Developer to keep all product timelines and dashboards up to date on a regular basis to ensure internal departments remain aligned as information is updated
– Plan and participate in all product development meetings and reviews – go-to-market planning, design ideation, future product road map, sample development, testing, etc.

What You’ll Need
– U.S.
citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.

– Bachelor’s degree (required)
– Experience working with consumer products
– Knowledge and interest in product development lifecycle and team dynamics
– Project and timeline management experience
– Great interpersonal skills, able to communicate openly and effectively
– Experience with Excel and project management and design software a plus – Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
Where We Are WAYB’s U.S.
headquarters is located in South Pasadena, CA.
This is a remote role, but may require some travel to various sites, including company headquarters, in order to effectively carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
