Executive Legal Secretary (Bilingual Chinese/English) (Downtown LA)

This is an in-person position based in our Downtown Los Angeles office. Remote working is not available.

  • We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Executive Legal Secretary, bilingual in Chinese and English, to support our Managing Partner.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative, business development, and legal support to the Managing Partner.
  • Manage complex schedules, including coordinating meetings and appointments across different time zones, particularly accommodating Asian business hours.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, particularly Chinese-speaking clients, ensuring professional and efficient communication.
  • Assist in preparing legal documents, conducting research, and managing case files with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Facilitate business development initiatives, including organizing events and maintaining relationships with clients and partners in Asia.
  • Manage internal and external correspondence, ensuring confidentiality and discretion in all communications.
  • Provide support in various legal matters, demonstrating an understanding of legal terminology and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must be bilingual in Chinese and English.
  • Proven experience as an executive secretary or similar administrative role, preferably in a legal setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, accommodating different time zones as required.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills; must be detail-oriented.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with legal management software.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work, capable of independently managing multiple priorities.

Compensation

  • Salary range: $25 – $45 per hour, based on experience.
