Producer / Reporter – Missourinet, News Ag

LEARFIELD is home to four statewide radio networks that provide news, sports and feature programming to radio stations throughout the Midwest, including: Minnesota News Network, Missourinet, Radio Iowa and Wisconsin Radio Network.

The Missourinet Producer / Reporter works with a team of anchor-reporters in providing long form show content and online content for 65 affiliate radio stations statewide.

Primary Responsibilities We are looking for an experienced, energetic candidate with natural curiosity, fresh ideas and honed reporting skills to serve as Reporter / Producer on the Missourinet team.

Job responsibilities include: Coordinate and edit staff interviews and content for daily one hour program, Show Me Today.

Conduct interviews for Show Me Today Package segments of show air and for the website Create compelling Missouri-focused news and event-based content relevant to our affiliates and Missourinet’s statewide audience using text stories, photos/graphics, live streaming content, breaking news, and social media elements Produce and anchor newscasts as needed.

Qualifications Proficient in audio and video publishing, live streaming, and professional digital tools Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or related field Excellent communication skills, superior news judgment and strong writing and copy-editing skills required Strong research skills Must be capable of using news computer systems and be familiar with radio and digital production techniques LEARFIELD is the leading media and technology services company in intercollegiate athletics.
