At Airtable we are passionate about how our product democratizes software creation and empowers anyone to “create anything” Just like Lego blocks, what our customers can build with Airtable is virtually limitless.Airtable is seeking a high-energy, bright individual with a minimum of 2 years experience in procurement operations to join the Controllership team to build out the procure to pay function.An ideal candidate will be someone who has the ability to work with all levels of the business to provide exemplary customer service and guidance on the contract-to-procurement process in order to deliver a seamless buying experience to our user community.

The position requires an independent thinker with indirect buying/sourcing experience and the ability to provide proactive communication and status throughout the end-to-end transaction.

They may also help with the development of potential cost models/efficiencies, transaction analytics, and other ad hoc analysis.

If you have the experience and motivation to oversee this business-critical process and the desire to grow quickly within the Airtable organization, we need to talk!What you’ll do Drive continuous improvement within the efforts of this function, leveraging best practices and proactive guidance throughout each step with the contract-to-procurement process to deliver the best user experience to the business.Process, track and review purchase orders.

Support resolution of purchase order issues associated with invoices.

Review and triage purchase requests to ensure the purchase is handled through the optimal channel or team to optimize total cost, comply with policies, and ensure speed and efficiency.Collaborate with the Controllership team, stakeholders, and vendors to resolve invoice issues.Collaborate with Finance and Legal teams to support contracts and agreements.As a key member of the Vendor Management Team, act as the procurement subject matter expert in consulting with the business to identify, develop and deploy best practice procurement, category management, and supplier management.Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal business partners to share best practices and understand and challenge business decisions.Assist with supplier onboarding aspects of ERP system implementation.Develop contract metrics and related reporting for Leadership.

Who you are 2-3+ years of experience in Procurement, or a related field, with proven results for building and leading highly effective processes.Strong understanding of the Procure-to-Pay process and downstream operations.Ability to prioritize activities and excellent time management / organizational skills.Proficient with Workday Financial.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Possess a thorough understanding of the finance function (e.g.

accounting, financial planning, procure-to-pay, sourcing strategies, supplier analytics, etc.).
