Procurement Specialist

Must be US Citizen

Responsibilities: 
Review supplier performance and manage on-time delivery.

  • Send out RFQs and procure COTS items, assist with returns and repairs
    Track status of parts and follow up on past due deliveries / commitments.
  • Expedite material to improve working capital and resolve all floor shortages.
  • Work with suppliers and Accounts Payable department to close supplier invoice issues and resolve open commitments.
  • Ability to assist buyers with administrative duties including parts tracking, resolution of receiving discrepancies, obtaining packing lists, etc.
  • Ability to assist buyers with return of non-conforming material and shipments of customer furnished material including repairs.

    Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree or AS/AA degree with a minimum of 2 years related experience.
  • Knowledgeable in procurement, supply chain, and or material management processes.
  • Excellent communication and written skills are necessary.
  • Negotiation and follow up skills required.
  • Experience with pulling and analyzing data from numerous sources.
  • PC skills in MS office, with Word and Excel formats is essential.
  • Utilize MRP system and Supplier Portal applications.
  • Assist in development of strategic supplier relationships.
  • Participate and/or lead projects/teams as assigned.
  • Attend meetings & conference calls with programs to manage more complex supplier quality/delivery issues.Management
