The Risk Identification and Assessment team is responsible for establishing and maintaining a sustainable process to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor enterprise change initiatives/products.

As a Principal Associate in Capital Ones Enterprise Services (ES) Risk Office, you will apply your analytical and delivery skills to our highest profile Risk Management projects.

You will partner across ES to develop and support cutting-edge Risk solutions in a manner that supports innovation and protects our customers, shareholders, and associates.

You will partner with peers and senior leaders, second and third lines of defense, as well as lines of business to drive organizational change to better manage the Companys risk in an open, collaborative environment where new ideas and solutions are both welcomed and rewarded.

In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring our business partners are delivering material initiatives in a well managed and responsible manner.

You will be responsible for contributing to the execution, governance, and strategy of the ES lane of the New Product, Marketing, and Initiative Governance (NPMIG) program, a Capital One risk assessment process designed to prudently manage the risks associated with introducing new, expanded, or modified products, services, practices, or processes.

Responsibilities: Manage the facilitation of the NPMIG risk assessment process, through interacting with business, risk, and VP partners.

Organized in juggling multiple initiatives and stakeholders through the end-to-end assessment process; providing information, guidance, updates and direction.

Execute on the ongoing strategy of the Enterprise NPMIG lane, including education/awareness training, process improvements, and the successful deployment of NPMIG 3.0, the next generation of the NPMIG process.

Partner closely with the Enterprise Risk Management (the governing body) in efforts to help enact process enhancements.

Coordinate with Enterprise Risk Management and stakeholders on new or changing requirements to the NPMIG program, enhancements to NPMIG 3.0, and process improvements Maintain and enhance governance and reporting processes, including updates to QERs, MBRs, and monthly team updates across the ESR organization.

Provide organized and clear communication to stakeholders via email, stakeholders, and kickoff meetings.

Drive the Agile program delivery, including project and process management, monitoring of the initiative pipeline, reporting, engagement in senior leadership meetings, other governance activities.

Support the governance and ongoing enhancement of the Material Technology and Cyber Change (MTC) program, which identifies, assesses, mitigates, and monitors material technology and cyber change initiatives across the organization.

Analyze information to proactively identify risks, trends, and process improvements; supporting reporting on risk topics to management Participate in risk and other management forums and contribute to continuous improvement of risk and project / program management practices.

Participate in and execute other special projects for the team on a periodic basis.

Basic Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience in Risk Management, Project Management, or Process Management Preferred Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in Financial Services industry At least 5 years of Risk Management experience At least 3 years of risk management, technical compliance, legal, regulatory, or operations experience Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and tasks Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement Strong problem solving and influencing skills At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Location is New York City: $131,400
– $150,000 for Prin Assoc, Cyber Risk & Analysis Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).

Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
