Job Summary
The Press Brake Operator will be required to operate the press brake machine.
This includes setting up and operating an Amada Press Brake, understanding and reading specifications prints, and ensure fit and form for MIG welding process.
Job Duties
/ Responsibilities:
Set up and operation of Amada Press with NC9 interface controller using Euro tooling.
The Press Brake Operator ensures the equipment stays calibrated based on specs.
The position reports to the lead and communicates to his/her supervisor of any and all issues that may create further problems down the chain.
General Job Functions:
Monitors machine operations and observe lights and gauges in order to detect malfunctions.
Detects fault operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors.
Presses control buttons to activate machinery.
Reviews work orders, specifications, or instructions to determine materials, procedures, settings, and adjustments for forming machines.
Selects and installs machine components such as dies, molds, and cutters, according to specifications, using hand tools and measuring devices.
Determines required forming methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and forming techniques.
Reviews parts to ensure the quality of the product before releasing to next step in the process.
Records and maintains production data such as dies and molds, according to specifications, using hand tools and measuring devices.
Feeds products into machines.
Removes molds and mold components once production run is complete.
Operates equipment with safety and use safe work habits.
Assists other trades personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
3-5 years of experience operating a press brake preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times.
