Projects include Office, College and University Facilities, Healthcare, Laboratories, Data Centers, Central Plants and Industrial/Manufacturing Plants.Essential Functions:Projects involved include Office, College and University Facilities, Healthcare, Government, Laboratories, Data Centers, and Industrial/Manufacturing plantsReviews all construction documents including Instructions To Bidders, Bid Forms and Issued Scopes of Work Solicits subcontractor and vendor quotations to ensure coverage on all scopes of workDistributes plans, specifications, and addenda to subcontractors and vendors via company ftp website and/or emailParticipates in pre-bid meetings and site visits which may result in travel time on occasionsWorks as part of a team to coordinate scope of work between in-house trades (Sheet Metal, Piping, Electrical, Fire Protection, Steel) as requiredTake-off plumbing fixtures, equipment, drainage specials and material for trade specific scope of work utilizing the Trimble Autobid computerized estimating system.Enters all material, labor, sub pricing, vendor pricing, and equipment rentals into bid summary before bid due dateReviews all take-off and pricing for completeness on all self-performed workReviews in detail subcontractor and vendor quotations for full compliance with the plans and specificationsAssists in developing scope of work for all proposalsUpon project award, assist in procurement of subs, equipment and plumbing specialties.

Enters estimate into job cost control program and participate in turnover meetings with the operations teamPerforms other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility: NoRequired:Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Estimating and Pre-Construction duties; and/or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in providing budgets, value management ideas, construction schedules, and manpower projectionsThorough knowledge in commercial plumbing construction, shop fabrication and basic plumbing designKnowledge and understanding of the International Plumbing Code (IPC)A solid understanding of Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical drawings and plumbing riser diagramsStrong technical writing and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Bluebeam software programsMust be able to meet critical deadlinesMust be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skillsMust be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screening, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e.

DMV, criminal history)Must adhere to all company policy and proceduresMust be available to work assigned schedules and extended hours on an “as needed” basis” The work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following: Work Environment:Work in a professional office environment using standard office equipment Position will require periodic visits to construction and industrial work sites Physical Demands:This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photo/print copiers, email and teleconferencing.

Site visits will require walking through existing buildings, industrial plants and/or on-going construction sites.

This will involve stairs and at times ladders on multiple floors/levels.

Travel:May require local travel and on rare occasion overnight travelEnhancements:Field experience in the plumbing tradeAAS or BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or other related disciplineExperience with MS Project or other scheduling softwarePrior military experience
