Executes division strategies to optimize inventory levels of purchased and/or make parts to achieve customer service and cash flow objectives. Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and/or material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet internal and/or external customer requirementsResponsibilitiesExecutes PFEP (ABCxyz, etc.) and Finished Goods Strategy in alignment with Sales & Operations Plan Identifies raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications Coordinates with engineering to ensure item master and bill of material accuracy Responsible for inventory levels Monitors and communicates the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are aligned Prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts to support production schedules and/or material requirements Proactively communicates and escalates material availability issues appropriately within organization Coordinates material movements between internal work and storage areas and/or outside processing, suppliers to ensure materials are available when needed Coordinates cross-functional activities to ensure a smooth flow of materials through the production process Applies continuous improvement techniques to planning processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs Mentors and trains new team members as needed Actively participates in High Performance Teams to improve value stream performanceQualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree (4 Year) in Supply Chain or Operations Management, Business, Engineering or Other. Professional Certification – APICS or ISM preferred Experience: • Experience and./or exposure to supply chain concepts/methodologies and manufacturing through internships or training programs. • Experience in materials management, supply chain, or operations preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities • Demonstrated proficiency in MRP, Microsoft Programs • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts • Understanding of lean enterprise principles and practicesParker HannifinFounded in 1917, Parker Hannifin Corporation is a $13.7 billion, global company.
