Phlebotomy Specialist I PRN

Collects patient specimens, correctly identifies patients, transports specimens, and performs phlebotomy.

Responsibilities include organization of phlebotomy batches, managing workflow, restocking supplies and shadowing phlebotomy trainees.

Performs specimen processing as needed.

Requirements Education: High School diploma or equivalent Training in a formal Phlebotomy program Skills: Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills Ability to collect blood samples from both adult and pediatric patients using venipuncture and capillary collections in various clinical settings.

Shifts: Required to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends or overtime as need exists Phlebotomy Specialist 1 (PS 1) OR Phlebotomist
– (Entry level) Less than two years of experience.

Demonstrates ability to collect adult and pediatric specimens in the outpatient setting.

Certification not required.
