We pull ideas into focus and sharpen the boundaries of a preliminary plan or concept. The practice has three core focus areas:Real Estate Advisory – Delivering real estate development that addresses civic goals. Joint Development Strategies, Development Planning & Feasibility Studies, Development Pro Formas, Incentives & Public Financing Strategies, Transaction & Solicitation Support, Market Assessments, Public-Private Partnership AdvisorySustainable Economics – Addressing the socio-economic impacts from a changing climate as well as the costs and benefits of adaptation measures that can help communities manage these increasing risks. Benefit-Cost Analysis for Resilient Infrastructure, Business Case for Resilience, Sustainability & Resilience Plans, Triple Bottom Line Assessments, Sustainable Return on Investment, Funding & Financing Strategies.Economic Development & Urban Policy – Helping cities and regions develop strategies to deliver transformative and equitable growth. Affordable Housing Policy, Economic Development Strategies, Equitable Transit Oriented Development Plans, Economic Resilience & Revitalization, Economic and Fiscal Impact Assessments, Workforce Development, Green Economy Transitions.Collaborating with other disciplines, our team develops strategies that respond to the market, attract financing and enable implementation. We address challenges through clear communication, creative thinking and structured, impartial analysis. Our global experience and comprehensive, integrated approach help us understand how multiple factors influence value and feasibility. Its not just about the market, but also project design, public policies and regulations, site conditions, mitigation requirements, development and financing costs, phasing and implementation challenges.Minimum RequirementsCurrently enrolled in Bachelors degree program in Economics, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Finance, Business, Real Estate, Environmental Science or a related fieldMust have completed two years of StudyPreferred QualificationsCurrently enrolled in Masters degree program in Economics, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Business, Real Estate, Finance, Environmental Science or a related fieldExperience conducting quantitative and qualitative economic analysis related to economic & community development, equity, public health, public finance, and/or resilienceExperience building cashflow models in Excel for real estate development projectsAbility to think critically, analyze policy and regulations, and write effectivelyFluency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelStrong technical skills, including experience with one or more of the following software packages:ArcGIS and other spatial analysis toolsQuantitative/statistical programs such as STATA, R, PythonData sources such as: Costar, EMSI, ESRI Business Analyst, BLS Economic impact modeling tools such as RIMS II, IMPLAN, REMIAdditional Information:Relocation assistance is not available for this position.Sponsorship is available for this position.What We OfferWe will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
