The Phlebotomist performs venipuncture/capillary puncture procedures and provides instructions to patients pertaining to self-administered specimen collection.The phlebotomist answers patient questions, maintains confidentiality and creates a rapport that welcomes patients to return to the Mobile Testing Unit.Following OSHA guidelines and proper procedures can help protect the team member and create a safe environment for patients.The Phlebotomist can help the Department of Medicine succeed by contributing a team-oriented attitude and patient centered approach.
In addition, providing feedback to management about how service could be improved will allow the team member to enhance their contribution.The Phlebotomist adds consistent value to the Department of Medicine team by adapting to a fast pace environment with ease and by being flexible.
