The Department of Medicine is the largest department within UCLA Health and includes 13 clinical sub-specialties with more than 200 ambulatory practices and over 600 physician faculty.

Under the leadership of its Chief Quality Officer, the Quality Team is focused on improving the quality of care delivery for over 350,000 patients seen each year.

Under the direction of the Chief Quality Officer and Administrative Director for the Department of Medicine, the Peer Review RN Coordinator will be responsible for executing quality improvement goals for the Physician Peer Review program.

This position requires clinical knowledge to ensure that the inpatient and ambulatory peer review process is effective in evaluating issues related to professional practice.

You will be responsible for overall coordination and management of the physician peer review clinical review process, including abstracting data for aggregation and analysis, medical record review, and tracking committee recommendations and follow-up actions for timeliness of response.

In addition, you will provide expertise and support for Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) functions for the Department of Medicine.
