The Quality Specialist has the role of deploying and facilitating the quality culture in IAPI Service, ensuring and controlling quality to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations, and representing the customer’s voice within local teams, providing customer experience feedback and input.

Reporting to the Quality & Operational Excellence Special, you will contribute in the development of the quality & continuous culture for the local PAPI division (Service and Solutions) and the US Life Cycle Services (LCS) group and report to the PAPI North America Hub Quality and Operational Excellence Manager.

Your responsibilities Support strategy: Promote and support the deployment of the Quality and Operational Excellence (Q&OpEx) strategy to accelerate the rate of operational improvement.

Operations: Establish and implement Q&OpEx priorities and targets in cooperation with functional team members across all functions within the local operation, monitor progress and support actions on deviations from targets.

Strengthen organization: Train and coach local teams in the standard quality improvement approach (i.e.

L6S) to develop organization capability to continuously improve business practices and performance.

Operational excellence: Take part and lead continuous improvement projects.

Share your knowledge within the organization.

Establish and maintain a continuous improvement culture.

Quality management system (QMS): Support and maintain the QMS of the local division to drive standardization and consistent execution in delivery of customer requirements with all aspects managed in line with ISO standards as well with ABB Business area and Division guidance.

Act as the Quality Council Chair for the US Life Cycle Services group.

Customer: Assists with the analysis and communication of customer perceptions to guide the local improvement actions toward greater customer satisfaction.

Quality Compliance: Lead internal audits to verify whether the QMS conforms to ABB and ISO requirement, and that it is effectively maintained.

Lead the Quality council management reviews.

Lead the external audits.

Assist in the application of appropriate corrective and preventive action and manage solutions to closure.

Your background Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience required, or ABB service experience may be considered as equivalent.

L6S certification is a plus.

Good English communication and writing skills.

Teamwork and collaboration skills.

Ability to learn quickly and work with different systems/applications.

Travel may be required up to 5%.

Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
