In this role, the selected candidate analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methodsfor maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.

May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.

Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.

On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.

May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.

This position is located in Northridge, CA.

Some relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available.

This position can be filled at either a level 2 (Industrial Engineer) or level 3 (Principal Industrial Engineer).

Details for each position are listed below.Basic Qualifications:Basic Qualifications for a level 2 (Industrial Engineer) are: Bachelor of Science degree.

2-4 years of Industrial Engineering experience.

Expert level of AutoCAD.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.

Ability to successfully multi-task in a dynamic environment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Gov’t issued Secret clearance; US citizenship is required.Basic Qualifications for a level 3 (Principal Industrial Engineer) are: Bachelor of Science degree.

5-8+ years of Industrial Engineering experience.

Expert level of AutoCAD.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.

Ability to successfully multi-task in a dynamic environment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Gov’t issued Secret clearance; US citizenship is required.Preferred Qualifications: MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) engineering experience.

Manufacturing ergonomics.

Knowledge in Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies, practices, and procedures.
