Nha – Nursing Home Administrator

POSITION SUMMARYThe purpose of your job position is to manage the daily operations of your facility to ensure optimum resident care in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines, the facility’s established policies and procedures, and as directed by management.The Administrator will treat each resident fairly, kindly, and show them dignity and respect. They will refer to each resident by their name. They will communicate clearly, empathetically, and effectively when speaking to residents, family members, visitors, all staff and governmental agencies. They will lead all departments and multidisciplinary teams with efficiency. They will be committed to always doing the right thing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLeading and Guiding the department heads to ensure residents receive excellent careCollaborating with the Marketing Director to increase facility census with appropriate ratio mix of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and managed care and privatePartnering with DON to assure staffing requirements are met to achieve daily PPDWorking with Infection Preventionist to ensure regulations are followedEstablishing a positive culture of employee engagementMonitoring and maintaining the facility operational budgetRequiring high patient satisfaction scoresMinimizing patient falls by optimizing resident careEnsuring that Business Office collects on all receivablesFollowing protocols required for successful survey’sFollowing all company policies and proceduresRepresenting the facility in dealings with outside agencies or internal managementInterpreting the facility’s policies and procedures to employees, residents, family members and visitorsKeeping updated on state and federal regulations as they pertain to skilled nursingConducting daily stand-up meetingAttending meetings as required Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position. REQUIREMENTS Education / LicensureMust have a high school diplomaBachelor’s Degree in Business, Account, or Healthcare Administration preferredMust have valid California NHA License Qualifications / ExperienceMust have minimum of 1 year experience working as an Administrator in skilled nursing settingMust be able to read, write, understand and communicate proficiently in English languageMust be familiar with Title 22, CDPH, CAHF and other regulatory agencies and legislations Working ConditionsWork environment may be warmMay encounter frequent interruptionsMay be involved with residents, family and government agenciesMay be requested to work beyond scheduled working hours at timesMay be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses Physical RequirementsMust be able to sit, stand, bed, twist, walk and move intermittently throughout the dayMust be able to push, pull, move and or lift up to 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move,and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 15 feet Per California state mandate, the COVID 19 vaccine is required for this position.#Cambridgehs
