For Victorian based employees, the compliance date is 26 November 2021.All other global Boeing locations do not have a vaccination requirement at this time.Boeing is looking for a Senior Safety Management System (SMS) Independent Contributor to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify the SMS framework within the complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.This role will be based out of:Albany, New YorkAlexandria, VirginiaAtlanta, GeorgiaAustin, TexasCharleston, South CarolinaMesa, ArizonaRidley Park, Pennsylvania Seal Beach, CaliforniaHazelwood, MissouriWinter Garden, FloridaPosition Responsibilities:Leads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfacesLeads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architectureLeads analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission successLeads, develops, maintains and identifies improvements the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processesThis position allows some telecommuting.

The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a U.S.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry1+ years of experience working with Safety Management System (SMS)5+ years of experience in design and manufacturing5+ years of hazard identification, risk assessments, and mitigation plans5+ years of experience with externalregulatory/airworthinessauthorities5+ years of experienceinimplementing process and/or strategy improvements Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3+ years of Safety Management System in a design and manufacturing organizationTypical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
