Museum Greeter

The Museum Greeter welcomes visitors into the museum.

The greeter will also facilitate the check-in/screening process in compliance with the current COVID guidelines and regulations.

The greeter must possess a friendly and positive attitude.

They must be well-informed about the museum and operational functions, so they can assist and answer visitor inquires.
Essential Functions:
1.

Greet and welcome visitors and groups.

2.

Facilitate check-in process for visitors including but not limited to reviewing and/or scanning vaccine verifications and/or reviewing recent COVID test results.

3.

Review and update admission reservations.

4.

Communicate to visitors the museum’s guidelines

5.

Be aware of current museum events and promotions.

6.

Maintain good housekeeping standards.

7.

Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

1.

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:

A high school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.

2.

Minimum Experience required:

Two years’ experience in a visitor facing or customer service role preferred.

3.

Skills Required:

· Experience in hospitality, retail, attractions, or cultural organizations strongly preferred

· Ability to work with visitors of diverse backgrounds, with varying degrees of familiarity with museums and the automotive industry

· Ability to work in fast-paced environments

· Ability to work as part of a diverse team to implement a first-class visitor experience for all visitors

· Confident speaking in front of visitors and groups

· Effective and persuasive communications skills; ability to communicate clearly and present information to a wide variety of visitors

· Comfortable enforcing museum policies with all visitors

· Comfortable using online ticketing systems and technology; open to learning new technologies

· Ability to identify and positively resolve visitor issues in the moment; strong decision-making skills necessary

· Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and special events as necessary

· Multilingual applicants strongly preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $17.00 per hour
