Mortgage Loan Processor

The Loan Processor is responsible for performing a variety of processing duties for an underwriting submission, loan closing and loan funding.

The Loan Processor is responsible for gathering and reviewing all of the loan documentation provided, ensuring the loan file is in accordance with agency, investor and all applicable regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities Review new loans and condition submissions to analyze credit, asset statements and income documents to calculate debt to income ratios, funds required for closing and reserve requirement Review all documentation obtained and ensure that it corresponds directly to the loan or product type chosen by the borrower Request and review documentation in the file to meet agency guidelines, along with any Investor specific overlays for each loan product Process applications from time of receipt of application to submission of the loan package to underwriting Gather, organize and track loan documentation Work with lenders, applicants, underwriters, appraisal department and others to complete processing Resolve customer service issues Verify customer income documentation and resolve routine title issues, including vesting issues and various liens Execute closing actions to ensure a timely and effective closing process Other duties and tasks assigned as needed by the Loan Advisor Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent High School Diploma is required, some college coursework is preferred 3-7 years’ experience of processing in the mortgage industry is required Experience in processing Conforming, Jumbo and FHA loans Thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations and requirements with emphasis on MDA, TILA and RESPA reform Tactfulness and proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations High energy, self-motivated and service oriented attitude Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Strong organization skills, attention to detail and problem solving skills Ability to handle extensive pipeline and ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment Demonstrate sensitivity and tack in handling highly confidential information
