Mortgage Assistance Processing Specialist

Essential Duties / Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the position will be to: Contact client Homeowner Assistance Fund applicants to obtain information needed to decide Program eligibility Communicate with Program applicants regarding potential application decision Manage a pipeline of assigned cases Run reports Data entry Other tasks as assignedQUALIFICATIONS Minimum of one year in mortgage or credit application processing field, relevant experience will be considered Minimum of two years providing customer service, relevant experience will be considered Knowledge in understanding loan application documentation, including, but not limited to, assessing income documents, bank statements and other applicable application information Experience communicating with homeowners at risk of foreclosure is a plus Reporting any findings, if applicable, in a concise and detailed manner Superior analytical, oral, and written communication skills, with ability to present information in easily understandable text Ability to be empathetic to applicant circumstances and build rapport with applicants Ability to work overtime, as neededAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
