Job Details: MIDDLEWARE TRANSFORMATION LEAD
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Middleware Transformation Lead is a technical leadership role that leads and develops a highly skilled , strategically aligned, cloud-centric, and efficient middleware services team s .
The Middleware Transformation Lead will be accountable for the successful engineering, design, build and high level support of all existing and new database platform, application hosting platform, and web hosting platform systems to accelerate the bank’s cloud journey .
He/She will drive transformational activities to enhance middleware services through greater automation, process efficiency, and cloud-centric, forward looking services to enable business objectives.
He/she will work closely with our internal clients to develop capabilitiy-aligned roadmap s , maintain technical and functional currency, adhere to evolving regulatory and cyber requirements, and find technical and process solutions to business concerns.
Strong people skills and the ability to balance a large and varied workload are essential.
Technology and Innovation Division

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Plans and prioritizes staff workload in the administration, operations, and engineering of all supported company database, application, and web hosting platforms.
Develops middleware architecture and engineering strategy, and deploys middleware systems to meet the needs of such architecture.
Develops and manages processes and procedures for coordinated and efficient administration, monitoring, retention, archival, configuration management, data security, integrity and change management for the middleware environments.
Collaborates with peer teams within the IT organization and business partners to ensure the successful delivery of internal and customer-facing applications/solutions.
Plans and develops resource, process, and project deliverables for the middleware teams.
Facilitates the creation of a team environment by providing strong mentoring skills and interdepartmental communications.
Facilitates and ensures individual and team roles and responsibilities are understood; performance measurement objectives are identified, measured and monitored on an on-going basis in order to provide positive feedback on accomplishments and to ensure immediate action is taken to address shortfalls.
Recommends hires, transfers, terminations, salary a djustments, performance standards and conducts performance reviews.
Approves employee daily time records, work assignments, vacations, sick pay, etc.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must-Have*
Minimum 8 years combined experience developing and administering middleware systems, including Oracle, IBM, Microsoft and cloud-based technologies
Minimum 5 years of experience in middleware design and architecture
Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role managing a middleware team
Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage, lead and inspire a team of technical professionals
Excellent interpersonal skills required
Experience with cloud-based technologies and management of cloud services
Practical experience in managing internal and external middleware security
Experience with integration, security, performance management of middleware technologies
Understanding of High Availability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery concepts
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple, changing priorities
Self-motivated and ability to work with limited direction
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and effectively prioritize multiple work streams
Strong customer service orientation.
Experience working in a team-oriented, fast-paced, collaborative environment
Understanding of logistics associated with technology and operational process integration approaches associated with mergers and acquisitions
Cloud certification a nice-to-have
