1. Familiarity with microbial testing and analysis particularly with aseptic technique. Bioburden testing (membrane filtration), media prep / growth promotion, buffer and solution preparations, microbial population determination and dilution preparations

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Studies origin, relationship, development, anatomy, functions, and chemical processes of living organisms; this may include studies in the growth, structure, and development of bacteria and other microorganisms.
Laboratory knowledge and familiarity with the following instrumentation and general microbiological testing including, but not limited to; autoclaving, microscope usage, Gram staining, microbial growth and isolation, dilution preparations, and filtration methods. Conducts testing to determine the bioburden levels on water/buffer samples.
Analyzes testing data and document results within laboratory reports. Practices GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and GDP (Good Documentation Practices) according to laboratory standards.

TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation – while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.
