Knits Merchant The Knits Merchant will be responsible for managing and expanding upon a strategic and balanced cut and sew knits assortment across categories that caters to all customer segments. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills and an entrepreneurial spirit, as well as excellent communication skills. This is a highly collaborative role in which close partnership with a variety of cross functional teams is key to success. This person will be responsible for achieving sales targets and managing OTB, inventory, gross margin and net profits through product curation. The Knits Merchant will need to be data-driven and have an ability to combine complex analysis with expertise on the competitive landscape to drive strong results.

What You’ll Do:

Research and assess the competitive landscape to inform product strategy and provide insight into market opportunities

Harbor a deep understanding of our current and evolving core customer base as well as the market Partner with Planning to closely manage the open to buy

Meet and exceed sales and inventory goals Identify and implement new initiatives to optimize weekly sales and margins Develop and present monthly and seasonal lineplans Partner with design to develop cohesive monthly product assortment plans

Partner with design to identify and develop new product opportunities that will be true to the Ref aesthetic while also bringing in a new customer Build out evergreen programs through replenishment strategy Support retail assortment through driving clear category initiatives and providing product knowledge

Partner closely with production and supply chain to prioritize business needs Partner closely with Ecomm and Marketing teams to coordinate product launches, Newsletter, Waitlist, Site Merchandising and Preorder Strategy Create compelling pricing structures while upholding target margins Analyze product performance weekly and identify key styles, chase opportunity and franchise expansion Manage and communicate out reporting and selling results and trends Track SKU-level sales, inventory and outstanding orders on a daily basis

Communicate product strategies to ensure all cross functional teams are aware of on-going launches and courses of action Identify and improve workflow opportunities

Your colleagues love working with you and your manager loves having you on the team What You’ll Need:

4-6 years of Merchant / Buying experience at a retailer / e-commerce company Proven business and strategic acumen Analytical and Math Skills specific to merchandise planning Advanced knowledge of OTB management and financial modeling Strong Excel Knowledge Eye for product trend

Attention to detail Can-do, positive attitude Strong interpersonal and communication skills
