McOpCo HR Specialist – California

Job Description

The McOpCo HR Specialist — California reports to the McOpCo Compliance and Special Projects Manager and has a dotted line to McOpCo People Manager West District.

The McOpCo HR Specialist partners with the McOpCo People Manager and/or HR People Supervisor to assist with the execution of key HR initiatives and processes in assigned District(s) or area.

This role will cover the state of California and work with the company owned restaurants. Required to live in the Los Angeles Metro Area or near by. This will be traveling and supporting the 73 McDonald’s restaurants in the LA Metro region.

In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, your primary accountabilities include, but are not restricted to the following:

Contribute to the execution of the McOpCo and District’s People Plan, specifically in CA.

Be knowledgeable about Restaurant-level benefits, incentives and awards & assist with communication and utilization of benefits.

Educate, inform, and assess to help ensure restaurants execute/comply with People initiatives and tools.

Assist People leaders and restaurant managers in conducting on-boarding/ orientation and exit/off-boarding.

Assist with staffing and retention efforts for McOpCo restaurants.

Assist with Record Retention procedures and communication and compliance.

Support employee engagement programs and efforts.

Work with HR and Ops to ensure that we provide a fair, equitable, and respectful work environment. 

Help gather best bets and practices to improve processes and procedures.

Maintain effective communication with HR Managers and team.

Create and manage effective documentation, such as presentations, reports, analysis.
