Overview
The Digital Student Solutions (“DSS”) Segment includes direct-to-student product and service offerings to assist students to study more effectively and improve academic performance, thus enabling them to gain the valuable skills necessary to succeed after college.
Bartleby is the central offering in our developing DSS ecosystem of direct-to-student digital products and services, accessible anytime and anywhere.
bartleby.com provides critical services for students to achieve better success throughout their academic journey.
The bartleby product offerings consist of bartleby learnTM comprised of textbook solutions (over 1,600 titles), question and answer solutions, and study guides; bartleby writeTM comprised of revision, plagiarism, citation and scoring tools; and bartleby tutorTM comprised of online tutoring services.
DSS is actively supported in its operations by Student Brands, LLC, a leading direct-to-student subscription-based writing help business that offers content at web scale to a multinational audience in four major languages and is underpinned by AI-based publishing and writing assistance tools and technologies, as well as writing-review services.
Responsibilities
OBJECTIVES/DESCRIPTION
The Digital Student Solutions team at Barnes and Noble Education is looking for a class of MBA Interns to join us for a minimum of 3 months.
You will work with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders across the company.

You will play an active role in our mission to provide homework help for students and learners through their academic journey, while working with one of the leading brands in education
You will work cross-functionally working closely with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Product and Finance.
As the successful candidate, you will be both creative and highly analytical, able to turn ambiguous problems into clearly defined solutions, and adept at synthesizing a variety of customer interactions, technologies and capabilities into high quality products and applications that customers love.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively across teams and levels, while balancing the needs and requirements of internal and external customers.
Flexibility and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment will also be key.
You must be data-driven and self-directed with the ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team.

Qualifications
Currently pursuing an MBA degree
* Able to commit to a full-time internship for a minimum of 3-months
* Strong sense of ownership and accountability, to see initiatives through, from end to end
* Attention to detail, balanced with a pragmatic sensibility of how to plan and prioritize.
* Demonstrated success in a consumer-focused growth business.
* Strong communication skills, able to convert ambiguity into simplicity and provide clear direction
* Proven experience finance, marketing or supporting products or services.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
* High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
* Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves
* Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
