Position: Material Handler Work Location: Los Angeles, CA 90039Duration: 6 Months Contract100% onsiteM-F 6-2:30Department Specialist Material HandlingChemical HandlingMust have PIT experienceMust be proficient with computers and Microsoft products30 LBS lifting requirementMust be willing to gown into ISO classified areasMust be willing to work in cold/wet environmentsPreferred experience with DeltaV, JDE and EBM Perform removal of hazardous waste.Maintain Fractionation area housekeeping (per GMP compliance) such as: cleaning walls, floors, doors, drains, windows, and other general surface areas.Empty trash containers and maintain an adequate amount of cleaning supplies.Supports all local manufacturing operations.Supply components, small parts, tubing, etc.Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines.Manually clean portable equipment and small parts.Participate on Continuous Improvement Teams.Receive and distribute supplies into the production area as necessary.Perform daily cleaning of the production area to maintain in GMP fashion.Train other techniciansMay perform other duties as assigned.

Able to assist with prioritization of assignments in order to maximize support for the Fractionation production area.Must have good written and verbal communication skills and understanding of cGMP regulations.Must be able to read and follow detailed written instructions.Good interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.This position requires shift, weekend and holiday work.

Overtime may be required at times.The incumbent must work in a clean room environment wearing special garments.

Additionally, personal protective equipment must be worn due to safety requirements.Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures.

Must be able to carry up to 25 lbs., lift up to 50 lbs., and push/pull ?

100 lbs.

(with the assistance of material handling equipment).Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 2 hours at a time followed by a 15 minute break), over an entire 8 or 12 hour shift.Must be able to climb ladders and stairs while wearing special gowning.May require bending, twisting, reaching overhead, and/or squatting motions to perform certain tasks.

Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning.

Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body.No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment.Will work in a cold, wet environmentMust be able to work multiple shifts, including weekends.Must be able to work overtime as required (APPLICABLE TO SNE only).May be required to work in a confined area.Some Clean Room and cool/hot storage conditions.
