All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected Veteran status.ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will provide nursing care for patients in the UCLA ExecutiveHealth clinic (Comprehensive Health Program and Medical Hospitality Program).You will take vital signs, obtain venous blood samples, collect healthdata and medical history information, perform medication reconciliation, processmedication prescriptions, administer medications and injections, prepare andassist procedures, process instrument for sterilization and assist as assignedwith patient education on medication initiation and follow up.

Document patientinformation accurately and in accordance with departmental and institutionalguidelines.

Respond and assist appropriately in emergency situations.QualificationsPossess license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse ExaminersPossession of CPR certification/BCLS through the American Heart Association or American Red CrossPossession Phlebotomy and IV certificationKnowledge of normal and abnormal symptoms and life threatening medical problemsAbility to skillfully administer oral, IM and subcutaneous medicationsAbility to obtain accurate vital signs and drug refillsAbility to use computerized patient care systemsKnowledge of medical terminologyInterpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, ancillary departments, physicians and co-workers in a courteous and compassionate mannerAbility to organize tasks to facilitate smooth work/patient flowKnowledge to schedule patient for referrals to specialistsAbility to be flexible in working both back and front office to facilitate smooth workflowKnowledge and ability to set up and assist physician with any procedures within ones scope of practiceAbility to perform accurate quality control and patient sample testing for waived testsUCLA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
