Localization Producer – Games

Have you heard? Netflix just launched gaming for our members around the globe! We are rapidly expanding new gaming offerings, so we are seeking a Producer who is excited to help us lead the continued building and scaling of our efforts for our international audience.This role has the option to be based either in our Los Angeles or Los Gatos office.As a Localization Producer, you design and develop games into target languages, ensuring conversion of the titles and all game-related components (metadata, marketing, CS, etc.) into localized versions to meet meaningful translation and international standards. You will use your localization and gaming experience to develop and manage relationships and strategies with game studios and vendors. You will develop and oversee the localization strategy, schedule, budget, and quality targets for your assigned games during the project lifecycle, and proactively identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks and blockers encountered along the way. You will also participate in specific games program initiatives, contributing to building the infrastructure and best practices that enable consistently excellent localization and member experience.A successful candidate is a highly motivated individual who works comfortably and autonomously in a fast-paced environment. They have a demonstrated ability to manage priorities and projects and the right mix of organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities: Manage localization projects and requirements across internal and external studios and vendorsWork cross-functionally with Netflix stakeholders to identify critical business blockers and collaborate to solve and optimize theseOversee end to end localization workflow using our translation management tools and systemsIdentify and manage project risk through prioritization, bug management, and any other means necessaryManage independent projects within the programDrive high quality output from localization vendorsOversee the localization budget for your projects through gathering data on the cost, timeliness and quality of your projectsKick off project & vertical meetings with cross functional groups for planningEvangelize Globalization to stakeholdersSupport innovation initiatives like A/B Tests, localization task forces, including info gathering, deliberation, pivoting, viz for results, analysis & optimization of workflowsQualifications: Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree, in Localization, Language Studies, or International Studies or equivalent experience as applicable5+ years of prior buyer-side localization producer/project management/LQA experience, working on projects that involve language launches, software/games, creative content and/or subtitle localizationWorking knowledge of industry-standard localization toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical problem-solving skillsBias to action, proactive & innovative by natureStrong attention to detailSolid in-depth knowledge of internationalization is a plusExperience working in games and entertainment is a plusThis employer is a corporate member ofmyGwork – LGBTQ+ professionals, the business community for LGBTQ+ professionals,students, inclusive employers & anyone who believes in workplace equality.
