Santa Monica Convalescent Center is looking for a dynamic CNA – Smoking Attendant to join our clinical team and provide our residents with an exceptional care experience. As a Smoking Attendant you will lead group and independent smoking activities for the resident population.
Responsibilities
- Supervises outdoor smoking activity.
- Lights cigarettes and pipes and attends residents when they smoke
- Properly stores smoking equipment
- Reports observations to Charge Nurse concerning the resident’s condition or activities
- Accompanies residents to the patio.
- Explains procedures and communicates with resident regarding safe smoke techniques.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant, (CNA) in good standing.
- Experience with dementia care
License/Certification:
- CNA Certification (Required)
- CPR Certification (Required)
