The Legal Assistant will provide direct support to a team of senior transactional attorneys.
He/she must have experience working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, be organized, display excellent communication and people skills and maturity in handling business and confidential situations and be detail-oriented.
He/she will be proficient in: working with complex transaction documents; managing legal systems and processes including document and matter management databases; providing support to attorneys on large transactions; providing administrative services such as scheduling meetings, producing expense reports, covering phones, and organizing and maintaining legal files; and organizing and prioritizing daily workload.
Must be able to work independently, consistently meet deadlines with minimal supervision and be willing to perform other administrative duties as required.

Manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment and prioritize projects effectively Communicate with executive, administrative and management personnel across departments and business units to gather or convey relevant information Draft, edit, proofread and redline confidential contracts, letters and other documents Format and update complex transaction documents, including creating TOCs, cross section references and troubleshooting formatting issues Open and close matters in matter management system and correspond with outside vendors on billing issues Implement systems and processes to help attorneys manage their workload Organize projects for attorneys including tracking diligence materials, preparing closing checklists and closing binders Create, organize and maintain files, databases, binders and other office organization Schedule meetings and manage multiple calendars and travel arrangements Produce and track expense reports Arrange and track all FedEx and courier needs Screen incoming calls and correspondence and respond independently when possible Plan and organize work and develop procedures to meet requirements Special projects and other administrative duties as required
The Wonderful You
Requires a minimum of 5+ years experience in a law firm or in-house with a strong contract background Extensive experience with editing, formatting, redlining and proofreading contracts; document and matter organization and management; and general administrative duties Strong PC skills including high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office specifically including: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Experience with document and matter management systems (specifically iManage, TyMetrix, and Onit is a plus) Demonstrated ability to both multi-task with attention to detail, as well as prioritize and meet deadlines Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) and a professional demeanor Team player with a positive attitude, willingness to tackle new projects and come up with creative solutions COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
