< Div><P> The Matian Firm, APC, islooking for a < B>Lead Immigration Paralegal< /b> to join and support our growing legal team here in Los Angeles.
In this position, you will report directly to the Legal Department Supervisor.
You will have legal knowledge of immigration-related laws and can make reasoned decisions.
Candidates must have a client-service attitude with excellent case management skills.
We’re looking for someone who possesses the knowledge of procedural requirements for different types of non-immigrant, and immigrant visas.
This paralegal will participate in all aspects of our Immigration practice, including assisting in the management of client relationships, case review, analysis, preparation and filing non-immigrant petitions.< /p><P>< B>Responsibilities< /b></p> <Ul><Li> Analyze case documents and prepare immigration applications for filing with the appropriate government agency< /li><Li> Communicate with clientsand foreign nationals regarding procedural and case processing issues, assisting with the review of cases< /li><Li> Oversee the status of cases through utilization of case management and billing systems.
Run reports.< /li><Li> Follow internal intake procedures after a client retains our firm< /li><Li> Make regular updates to our case management system including client information, case tracking information, and client communications< /li><Li> Maintain hard copy filesand documents to support all immigration activity on behalf of clients< /li><Li> Ensure that clients are kept informed about the progress of their cases< /li><Li> Assist attorneys and other team members to manage the caseload< /li><Li> Complete assignments andcommunicate case progress/status/issues to supervisors< /li></ul> <P><B> Qualifications</b> </p><Ul> <Li>At least 4 years of Immigration Law experience< /li><Li> Are bilingual (English/Spanish) with high proficiency< /li><Li> Previous experience as aparalegal or other legal field< /li><Li> Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications< /li><Li> Experience with Case Management Software< /li></ul> <P>Do you have a passion for Immigration Law and a desire to practice within an organization with lots of room for growth?
