Strong product design is at our core where distinctive emotional yet cost effective style meet the latest in cutting edge technology.nn nnRole Overviewnn nnReporting directly to the Chief Engineer of Body Engineering, this role will work with our engineering partner (Magna) and component suppliers to lead the Body Side Closures design, sourcing, development, validation, and production launch.

This role will require demonstrated outstanding skills in leadership, analysis, critical thinking, conflict management, and risk management.

You will work across the organization and with our engineering partner and component suppliers to ensure upstream and downstream impacts are identified, communicated, and aligned.

This role requires exceptional communication and organizational skills.

A successful candidate needs to thrive in a pressurized environment using data and facts to help identify risks, manage resources and solve problems quickly and effectively.

A strong team ethic with the ability to interact at all levels and across business boundaries is required to be successful in this position.nn nnResponsibilitiesnn nn
• Lead Body Side Closures, Seals and Mechanisms Product Development Teamsnn nn
• Participate in defining technical and design verification requirements nn nn
• Business and Technical target setting and monitoringnn nn
• Program metrics generation, including timing, delivery status and cost statusnn nn
• Identify design, development, and validation disconnects and proactively identify and implement all nn nn required resolution activitiesnn nn
• New suppler engagement and capability assessmentsnn nn
• Material and process assessmentsnn nn
• Participate in the creation of validation test plans and ensure US/EU/China regulatory compliancenn nn
• Become the key point of contact for Body Exterior components within the Fisker organizationnn nnRequirementsnn nn
• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.

An MS degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Body Side Closures design and developmentnn nn
• Vehicle launch experiencenn nn
