Garden State Growers is a family-owned greenhouse and outdoor production operation on over 500 acres specializing in the growth and distribution of wholesale perennials, annuals, ground cover, vegetables, and varied seasonal offerings. We serve large retailers who sell plants in sizable quantities, as well as garden centers, supermarkets and small retail businesses.
We are currently seeking anInventory and Shipping Coordinatorfor our Pineville, PA facility.
- Primary responsibilities may include but not limited to effective and timely counts of plants, plastic, and ceramic inventories for the GSG Pineville facility. Concise organization of daily mixed rack reports indicating the zone locations for the picking teams. Print the required cart ID labels for the daily mixed rack reports and attach to the appropriate reports for seamless pick. Visual & physical verification of all inbound inventory for accuracy. Directing the pick of Transfer Sheet inventory as required to supply the Pittstown facility.
Responsibilities
- Global weekly inventory counts for the Pineville facility & reconciliation/verification emailed to Pittstown every Wednesday for all plastic, ceramic, including plant materials.
- Daily preparation of cart ID labels for the mixed rack reports per the required plant pick & cart shelf configuration & document zones for the pick
- Physical inventory verification of Set Down delivery for accuracy (quantity UPC, location, size & description) to verification sheets.
- Update Plant Partner every Tuesday by 10am with ready list for the following week.
- Execute outbound Transfer Sheet fulfillment (verification, corrections & direct the pick) & verify inbound for all products moving between facilities
- Pick tickets, preparation of all in-season documents, tags, and stickers related to order being picked to ship to PT Facility.
- Bill of Lading (BOL) & delivery ticket verification for inbound materials including discrepancy reporting.
- Shipping and receiving of all materials including but no limited to plastic, ceramic, and glassware.
- Strong leadership of people and projects, to provide support to existing facility personnel when needed.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bi-lingual a plus.
- Past experience with greenhouse work or perishables a plus.
- Team player with ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Must be able to read English.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must be able to walk, bend over, reach & stand for up to 10 hours.
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 10 hours and up to 20 pounds.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced (indoor & outdoor) environment.
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures.
