Inventory Coordinator

OVERVIEW AMOT Controls is a leading manufacturer of custom engineered valves and controls for engines, turbines and compressors.

This includes thermostatic control valves, air intake shutoff valves for diesel engines, gas fuel control products, etc.

A significant portion of AMOT’s products are supplied to major engine, turbine and compressor OEM’s, packagers and dealers.

SUMMARY The Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in maintaining an accurate inventory by verifying all orders received and shipped.

Ensure inventory accuracy by performing cycle count process on daily basis and researching and correcting discrepancies.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND DUTIES Ability to work specified shift.

Maintain inventory records Perform daily inventory management procedures and duties, including but not limited to stowing materials, setting up bin locations, coordinating work/rework of stock inventory between scheduling and shipping and coordinating the Kanban system with purchasing.

Ensure accurate accounting of and disposition of all defective or damaged products.

Perform routine clerical assignments including filing and maintaining records.

Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.

Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions Ability to perform simple math calculations.

Ability to operate various office equipment as needed.

Ability to operate spreadsheet software applications.

Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with associates and management.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift.

Use manlift and forklift as needed.

Ability to look-up engineer drawings Fill customer orders by picking stock items per pick list / bill of materials Other duties as assigned Additional Responsibilities: Follow all company safety policies and procedures and organize work areas for efficiency and safety.

Provides status reports to management as required.

Responds to change productively and handles other duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School degree or equivalent.

12 months warehousing and inventory experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Proficient using Microsoft Office Application (Email & Instant Messaging) Familiarity with using an ERP system.

Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word.

Ability to apply simple math calculations.

Ability to certify as forklift operator.
