Group: Land SurveyingPosition: Instrument Operator (Field Position)Location: Indianapolis, IN; Cleveland, Cincinnati & Columbus, OH Our team of 40 professionals have access to latest tools such as, GPS, robotic, and hydrographic surveying equipment.
Our Land Surveying team does it all, from land title surveys, to topographic and boundary surveys, to hydrographic, transportation and utility route surveys, to right-of-way services and construction staking.
Responsibilities: Planning and organizing field surveys, including preparing equipmentLabor intensive tasks, including clearing brush, laying out stakes, and transporting equipmentCAD or GIS data editing, geometry calculations, analyzing survey data, and conducting land records research.Operation of survey vehicles, robotic total stations and GPS receiversRecording detailed notes and diagramsALTA/NSPS land title surveys and engineering surveysConstruction and Utility Surveying and StakingBoundary & Retracement SurveysAerial ControlLiDAR VerificationsTopographic Survey & Utility MappingAcquisition PlatsFlood Mapping & Cross SectionsPreliminary D.O.T.
Surveys Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1 year of experience in land surveying preferred, but no experience will be consideredAbility to work outdoors for prolonged periods of time in a wide range of weather conditionsAbility to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds of equipmentStrong team player with effective internal & external communication skills
