Job Summary/Responsibilities Provide electrical inspection and major construction project support to operating facilities.

Provide electrical system knowledge, engineering skills, and related project functions for maintenance, and/or construction of Port facilities, systems, and associated assets.

Provide electrical systems knowledge in the planning, development, and implementation of major construction projects with complex scope and high degree of technical difficulty.

Provide extensive construction knowledge and engineering skills for complex electrical systems and situations.

Act as project lead on assigned engineering projects Provide engineering inspection, technical direction, and administrative skills as needed in the planning, development, and implementation of projects with varying degrees of complexity.

Provide construction knowledge and engineering skills to offer alternatives, and analyze and evaluate construction impacts for specific Port facilities systems and situations.

Prepare cost estimates and time schedules for proposed projects at the budget phase and through construction.

Coordinate the use of external consultant resources when utilized; provide in-house electrical engineering expertise and owner’s perspective/overview of consultant design services performed for the Port by outside services.

Minimum Requirements HS 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Must possess a valid US driver’s license; MVR is required Preferred Qualifications 2 years of specifically electrical inspection experience Familiarity with Electrical Codes and Electrical QC/QA.
