As an Industrial Engineer at Disney, you would help translate ideas into tangible innovation opportunities that focus on strategy within operations. About You

Responsibilities

You d join a diverse, networked team that collaborates on initiatives that drive Disney s Parks & Resorts business to the next level. We use creativity and in-depth analytics to develop strategies and implement solutions that can directly impact the happiness of our Guests.

Every single day as an Industrial Engineer is different! On any one day you might:

  • Strategize with multiple departments to find the next productivity boost

  • Develop analytics to identify areas for improvement and change;

  • Lead a brainstorming session about simulation, forecasting, and optimization;

  • Formulate plans with other engineers for future operational development

  • Present to business leadership to help influence change;

  • Develop relationships within Disney through cross-team collaborations

  • Gain leadership development and rotate between client groups

  • Attend seminars on professional and personal development

  • Research and benchmark topics relevant to your project scope;

  • Lead or support others with a field study

  • Coach interns so they can own their projects and contribute in a meaningful way

  • Spend time in the Parks to observe operations, and gain process insights

  • Grab lunch with the team or hop on an attraction at a Disney park!

Basic Qualifications

Please apply if you have:

  • A Bachelor s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or equivalent

  • 2.5 -5 years of applied experience

  • Sharp project management skills, with an emphasis on communication and building strategic relationships

  • A knack for consulting and making quality/process improvements

  • Experience to define scope-of-work, understand the full impact of findings on the business and pro-actively develop recommendations

  • A strong, confident presentation style with the ability to lead key stakeholders

  • Experience with capacity/demand analysis and modeling techniques

  • Knowledge of conducting field studies/data collection efforts;

  • Confidence with spreadsheets, databases, and statistical/graphic software

  • Resiliency you re up for the challenge of continuous improvement, and work through hurdles

  • Creativity to approach problems in new, innovative ways;

  • Experience motivating your peers

  • The ability to successfully juggle multiple tasks at once, especially in dynamic environments

  • A flexible schedule – you re able to meet project milestones

  • The ability to think outside the box, providing ideas on how to do things differently

Additional Qualifications

It would be nice if you also have:

  • Additional years of applied experience in a related field;

  • A Master s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business or equivalent;
