Transitional Specialist

Overall duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in developing and implementing community based/inhouse consumer programming in accordance with clients needs, preferences, deserires as per their IPP.
 - Document daily progress of client according to the established plan of care.
 - Able to teach independent living skills such as
- cooking proper nutrition, laundry, cleaning(housekeeping)
 - socialization, job hunting, resume writing and interviewing
 - learning bus routes
 - obtaining a driver’s license/ID card
 
 - Ability to safely address behavior concerns using proper technique
 - Effective written and verbal communication
 - Report any problems to the program manager immediately such as violation of any kind including any abuse allegations.
 - Train the clients on the characteristics of sexual exploitation.
 - Provide gang and drug prevention and intervention
 
Requirement
- Highschool dipolma/GED
 - 1 year experience working with similar population
 - Valid Driver’s license
 - Ability to read and understand treatment program/IPP
 - Able to work well under pressure
