We’re looking for someone self-motivated, versatile, friendly, and fun This position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area or Berlin, CT and reports to the Senior Manager of People Operations.WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKEProviding support to employees as a subject matter expert on tools, processes, compliance, and benefitsParticipating in new hire onboarding; reviewing and submitting documentation, benefits administration, etc.Compiling and distributing reports from our HRIS and HR systemsMaintaining our internal database and HRIS records, ensuring data integrityManaging letters, notices, employee verifications, and ongoing communications issued to current, former and prospective employeesSupporting special projects and other ad hoc assignments as neededMaintaining personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirementsWHAT BRINGS SUCCESS TO THIS ROLEThe ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with private employee informationStrong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracyWorking knowledge of HR policies and procedures, state and federal labor laws, and HR tools; a willingness and interest in learning these best practices and applicable lawsExceptional ability to multi-task and pivot prioritiesAbility to build positive relationships, both internally and externally through professional and proactive communicationFlexibility in scheduling, planning, and daily operationsREQUIREMENTS2 years of HR/People Operations experienceDegree/certification/secondary education in People Operations/Human Resources a plusMust be familiar with both Microsoft Office Products and Google WorkspaceStrong familiarity with HR systems; we use SuccessFactors (HRIS), Lattice (performance management), ADP (payroll reporting), Greenhouse (ATS)Excellent technical skills, ability to learn new systems quickly with strong presentation skillsOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to gather and analyze dataWHY IT’S AMAZING TO WORK AT SMART RES USWorking with an incredibly passionate and intelligent teamBuilding products and services that solve real-world problemsOpportunity to make an impact by owning projects from start to finishComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefitsA generous PTO policy to recharge and resetMatching 401K contributionsLife insuranceTuition and certification reimbursementCOVID-19 supported WFH policies and efforts (flexible in-office policy upon return)August and Yale are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
