HR Coordinator

The People Operations team at OpenTable is all about improving the employee experience, while always considering efficiency and scalability.

As an HR Coordinator on the People Ops team, you will act as the connection point for all employee services and promote new ways of approaching HR core work.

In this role, you’ll work with a team of coordinators to support Recruiters and HR Business Partners, while being the front door to service for our employees.

Responsibilities

● Engage new hires, coordinate all the elements of onboarding and conduct new hire orientation to ramp-up our workforce

● Maintain accurate employee records, managing HR transactions in our systems and handling reports/ data requests

● Provide a speedy and efficient response to all day to day / first line HR queries from employees through Zendesk

● Process employee changes, terminations, and related processes including communications, notifications, filing and HR systems updates

● Identify key areas for process improvement and efficiency through analysis of core HR transactions

● Participate in team-identified projects/initiatives and execute on employee programs

● Be an internal champion for our employees, escalating employee issues as appropriate and collaborating remotely with other teams 

Qualifications

● 2+ year’s experience as an HR Coordinator or similar human resources role

● Workday certification and proven ability to handle basic system business processes huge PLUS

● Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with a focus on quality and customer service

● Demonstration of a process-driven approach

● Ability to juggle and effectively prioritize multiple tasks – knowing when to escalate issues

● Ability to demonstrate patience in sticky situations and to resolve issues with clarity and a can-do attitude

● Strong understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality

● Ability to work independently and contribute be a great team player

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to easily communicate with all aspects of the organization

● BA/BS degree, or equivalent work experience
