Lead People Business Partner – Games (US)

Scopely is seeking a Lead People (HR) Business Partner to join the Global People Team! You will be the People Team Business Partner for Scopely’s Midcore Games Division. Your primary clients will be the leadership in the Midcore Games Division, in addition to the other functional leaders who enable game development across our worldwide portfolio.

What you will do:

  • Game Team Talent Strategy:

In partnership with the leaders and PBP leadership, ensure we have a clear and effective talent strategy for each franchise across the portfolio. This means you have put in place the tools and practices to surface and solve opportunities related to leadership, management, performance management, and team composition (organizational design, an optimal mix of skill-set and mindset, cost structure)

  • Scopely Talent Management:

Shape and lead aspects of Scopely’s global approach to Talent Management through a deep understanding of the Games organization’s talent, challenges, needs, culture and operations. Design and implement practical solutions for your teams consistent with our global talent philosophy and programs. Inform strategy and/or lead aspects of core Talent Management processes, programs, and events.

  • Games Organization Leadership Team Evolution:

Play a leadership role in codifying how our Games leaders can solve business and talent challenges. Ensure we have both strong team-based operating cultures and have the right portfolio-wide practices around leadership communication and talent decision making.

  • Coaching & Conflict Resolution:

Establish credibility and reliability as an efficient driver of issue resolution — through facilitation, coaching others on how to solve their challenges, and through a partnership with other BPs across Scopely. Solve Employee Relations issues in your client groups by working with managers, employees and People Operations to respond to all issues in ways consistent with Scopely’s values and standards.

  • Change Management:

Partner with the People Business Partner team to coach team leaders on effective change management. Help others explain connections between changes in the business, the organization, and individual roles. Support teams on change strategies, communications and post-implementation assessment.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of local employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
