Join the AccentCare team and apply for this Hospice Aide opportunity today SIGN ON BONUS $2,500.00 Responsibilities: Hospice Aide Responsibilities:Follow the interdisciplinary plan of care, be alert to the patient’s needs and concerns.

Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, hair, nail, skin and foot care and oral hygiene.

Assist patients, according to the plan of care.Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapeutic services, in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of careObserve and report changes in the patient’s condition and needs to the Team Director (TD) or Registered Nurse (RN)May perform simple homemaking chores for the patient directly, meal preparation, and/or light housekeeping in the patient’s immediate areaComplete required documentation per policy.

Participate in continuing education programs.

Follow confidentiality regarding patients and families per policyDemonstrate a compassionate attitude toward patients and families consistent with the philosophy and mission of the organization.

Attend patient care conferences as requested by the TD Qualifications: Hospice Aide Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent, preferredCertified by the state(s) as a nurse’s aide, having completed a course and certified by the stateCurrent and valid CPR certification, preferredSuccessfully complete the agency Home Health Aide Competency Exam with an 85% or better.Listed on the state aide registry with a clear record able to deliver care to patients in their own homes, nursing facilities, or hospitalsMust have reliable automobile, valid driver’s license, and the minimum state required liability auto insuranceMeet the regulations and requirements of the state(s) in which the program provides service
