As our Head of Scientific Development , you will be the core scientific mover of the company.
We are lucky to be co-founded by a leading medical oncologist, with whom you will work closely to achieve the scientific objectives of the company.
You will actively collaborate with pharmaceutical clients and the internal product team to adapt Alacrity Care’s technologies for proof of concept clinical trials.
You will preside over scientific development of these studies with the goal of generating the most meaningful outcomes for every stakeholder—Alacrity Care, our clients, and, ultimately, patients.
Your day-to-day responsibilities in this role will include : Developing the scientific concepts and protocols for proof of concept drug-device combination studies and large-scale Phase IIIB/IV digital companion studies Engaging closely with investigators and patients enrolled in active clinical trials Publishing the company’s existing data and data collected in prospective work Regulatory strategy of the company’s digital companion products and analytics (with a close eye on emerging FDA pathways) Engaging with medical science divisions at pharmas, acting as a strong advocate for pilot studies and large-scale digital companion trials Working with the product team to adapt the product for clinical trials Attending conferences on behalf of the company, virtually and in-person Recruiting the best scientific talent to expand your team—we are building a culture of company builders We want to empower the most capable people to drive our success and encourage any motivated candidates to apply.
With that in mind, here’s the target profile we are expecting : PhD in Biomedical Engineering or adjacent discipline Background in applied science Multiple relevant peer-reviewed research publications as leading author Specific experience in oncology, digital health, pharmaceutical medical affairs or drug development Regulatory experience in medical technology is highly preferred You are likely to succeed in this role if you are: Determined to excel in an agile, cross-functional startup team environment Self-motivated Disciplined Intellectually curious Socially proficient Thrilled at being first to solve important problems We are committed to offering best-in-market compensation for this role, including a combination of cash compensation and significant company equity.
